Meet the Administrative Team

at Creative Environment!

Here at CECLC,  our Administrators are dedicated to serving our community by providing the highest quality child care services. We understand the ever-changing needs of families and we strive to meet them by providing a unified support system that has each child's best interest at heart. We consider each family to be a part of the CECLC family.

Emily Henning,
Executive Director

Miss Emily began her career at CECLC IN 2006. She taught in UPK and School Age before accepting the role of Executive Director in late 2012.

Prior to working at Creative Environment, Emily held administrative and teaching positions at two other child care centers.

Emily is an Honors graduate of both Wayne Central HS and SUNY Oswego. She holds a CDA and a BA in Secondary Education with a Concentration in English. She is certified in First Aid and CPR as well as MAT trained.

Emily is an active member of the Pal-Mac community, spending many evenings and weekends volunteering as a youth cheerleading coach. She is also employed as an Allstar Cheerleading Coach at Core Athletix.

Emily lives in Palmyra with her husband Rob and their 3 children, Noelle, Gavin, and Layla.

Heather Hitchner,
Associate Director

Miss Heather, a mother of 3 boys, lives in Palmyra with her best friend and soul mate, Shawn. She was raised in South Butler, NY and graduated from North-Rose Wolcott in 1994. Heather has a wide array of interests including camping, hiking, boating, reading, writing, and cooking.

Heather's true passion, however, is working with children. In her own words, "They have a true sense of curiosity and an eagerness to learn. I learn as much from children as they learn from me! They don't judge and the more absurd I am while singing and dancing, the more they love it. There is nothing like pulling your socks off and running barefoot through puddles or sinking your fingers into mud pies alongside your class. It's truly a way to bring your own childhood back to life. Children help me break away from the stresses of the adult world and make me remember all the wonders and mystery the world around us has to offer. It's the magic of seeing the world through a child's eyes that makes working with children such a surreal experience. I have created bonds that will last many years."

Heather came to Creative Environment in 1999 as an Assistant in the Nursery School and Toddler programs. She quickly acclimated herself and began to take on more roles including becoming our long term substitute cook. Heather spent a year in that capacity before returning to the classroom. In 2002, she joined our Preschool program and after earning her CDA credential, she became the Lead Teacher in our Preschool 3 program. In 2012, Heather again switched hats and became our Administrative Coordinator! In 2019 Heather took on more responsibilities and with that came a title change to Associate Director. She still loves to visit the classrooms and is dedicated to building bonds with all of the children and families at CECLC! She cannot imagine working anywhere else!

Jennifer Lowe,

Program Director

Miss Jenn headed up our Preschool 2 classroom before joining our Administrative Team. She holds a degree in Human Services with a specialization in Early Childhood. She has over 16 years of experience working with children from birth through age 8.

Prior to her career at CECLC, Miss Jenn worked as an in-home provider, a paraprofessional in a school district, and as a Lead Teacher in another preschool setting.

She loves coming to work each day to see the children smile, laugh, and master tasks. She firmly believes that these early years of education lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. It is her goal to make CECLC a positive experience for your child.

Miss Jenn lives in Phelps with her husband James, and their three daughters Kaylynn and Sienna and Charlotte. Their favorite thing to do is take a yearly cruise!

Luiza Tila,
Nutrition Coordinator

Our Nutritional Coordinator, Luiza, came to us in June 2007. She was born and raised in Albania but relocated to the United States in 1997. Luiza and her sons, Spiro and Aleksandri, settled in Palmyra after buying their home in 2005.

Besides being a mother, Luiza is blessed to be called Nana by her beautiful granddaughter Delilah.  Luiza loves spending as much time as possible with Delilah and enjoys teaching her to cook, dance and speak in Albanian.

Luiza has many years of experience in the food industry. She worked at both the Blue Ribbon restaurant and the Rose Corner Restaurant and Bakery.

Besides preparing all of our meals, doing the shopping and ordering of our supplies, Luiza keeps the kitchen impeccably clean.

Luiza tells us "I am so proud to have witnessed all of the children growing up throughout the years. My favorite part of the job has been taking care of the children as if they are my own. I am happy to serve Creative Environment  to the best of my ability. I am very grateful for this opportunity and for a job I enjoy doing. I go home pleased with the outcome of my job!"

The children love her very much. Hearing little voices excitedly squealing "Miss Luiza!" is a daily occurrence here at CECLC!

Outside of CECLC, Luiza spends time singing and dancing, and spending time with her very dear friend Betty.
